About Me

My names Kiera Gillies and I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years. I started learning classical guitar when I was younger and immediately fell in love with the instrument. I quickly worked my way through the grades, and threw myself into any and all musical activities possible - choirs, electric and acoustic guitar, ukulele, guitar ensembles - and also taught myself how to play the drums, piano and learnt the saxophone.

 

When I began teaching guitar I discovered my passion for engaging others in the joy of music. I've taught privately, in schools, to all levels, ages and also to young disabled/SEN students.  Whether you or your child are looking to try something new, take grades and keep a more disciplined practice or play for fun and learn your favourite songs, I will facilitate this and create lesson plans catered to your individual needs. I've seen how much of a positive impact music has on peoples life and wish to keep sharing this with my students.
